The composition of the forklift driving axle

forklift driving axle

The forklift driving axle is also called the front axle of the forklift. It is located between the front wheels of the forklift. As the last assembly of the forklift transmission system, the forklift driving axle undertakes the power of the forklift engine and gearbox to complete the forklift's advance and retreat. The forklift drive axle passes through the half shaft. It is connected with the forklift gearbox and driving tires to drive the forklift forward. It and the forklift steering axle together form the chassis of the forklift.

The forklift driving axle is mainly composed of an axle housing, a wheel hub, a half shaft and a brake. The axle housing is an integral casting structure. The tire is on the wheel hub with stud bolts and nuts through the rim, and the power is transmitted to the half shaft through the differential. The front wheel is driven by the hub, and each hub is mounted on the axle housing through two tapered roller bearings, so the half shaft only bears the torque transmitted to the hub. An oil seal is installed inside the hub to prevent water and dust from entering or leaking oil.
