Adjusting Forklift Mirrors

Proper adjustment of forklift mirrors ensures optimal visibility and safety.

The adjustment procedures vary for each mirror:

• Left Side Mirror:

1. Vertical Adjustment: Set the horizon line approximately at the center of the mirror.

2. Horizontal Adjustment: Adjust so that the forklift occupies about 1/4 of the mirror's field of view.

• Right Side Mirror:

1. Vertical Adjustment: Increase the visible ground area to about 2/3 of the mirror's field of view, due to the driver's position on the left side, which makes it harder to gauge the right side.

2. Horizontal Adjustment: Like the left mirror, set it so that the forklift occupies approximately 1/4 of the mirror's field of view.

• Central Mirror:

1. Horizontal Adjustment: Position the mirror so that the left edge aligns with the right side of the driver's image (specifically the right ear).

2. Vertical Adjustment: Align the horizon line to the center of the mirror.

Ensure that the adjustments allow for a clear view of the forklift's surroundings and minimize blind spots.
