Forklift Driveshaft

The function of the forklift axle driveshaft is to transmit torque from the forklift differential to the drive wheels. A forklift, like other vehicles, requires two driving wheels to rotate at different speeds. Therefore, the left and right driving wheels cannot be connected and driven by the same integral shaft, but the two driveshafts are respectively driven by the linkage of the differential.

 

So both forklift front and rear axles are semi-axle. There is a keyway at the inner end of the forklift driveshaft, which meshes with the internal keyway of the gear of the forklift driver shaft and receives the power from the differential.
