Forklift Mast Includes Inner and Outer Mast

 

 

Forklift masts are the lifting structure the forklift uses to raise and lower the load, forks, and fork carriage. The mast connects to the carriage and the forklift attachment, which holds the load in place. The inner mast of the forklift has rollers, which are embedded in the outer mast. The inner mast can partially extend out of the outer mast when it is raised. The fork carriage has rollers embedded in the inner mast for up and down movement. The bottom of the lifting cylinder is fixed at the lower part of the outer mast, and the piston rod of the cylinder moves up and down along the lead rod on the inner mast.

 

Forklift masts come with various sections that elevate or lower the forklift carriage along with the forks. These include a duplex mast with two mast stages, a Triplex mast with three mast stages, Quad mast with four mast sections.
