Lift Truck Diesel Filter Inspection and Replacing

 

Lift Truck diesel filters and other filters should be inspected whenever you visit the service station. However, it is not necessary that you should replace all the forklift filters. If the forklift pedal time is not due according to the maintenance planning, you should have those filters checked first, then decide whether the forklift filters be replaced or just need a cleaning service.

 

 

The following is the instruction for checking forklift filters

 

1. Clean the outside of the filter, unscrew the drainage screw at the lower end of the forklift filter to remove dirt;

2. Remove the filter body, pour out the fuel, and remove the filter element.

3. The filter element should be cleaned in filtered kerosene or light diesel oil. When cleaning, the outside should be cleaned first, and then compressed air should be blown out of the inner chamber of the filter element. After cleaning, the filter element should be carefully checked for holes and damage. If it is damaged, it must be replaced.

4. Seal rings of forklift diesel filters should be replaced directly if they are aged or damaged.
