The Three Positions of Forklift Back Mirror

 

1. Central Back Mirror

The central back mirror helps the forklift operator quickly assess rear traffic conditions and maintain a safe distance from the forklift behind. Adjust the mirror so it is parallel to the horizon, with the horizon centered in the mirror's middle section. Tilt the mirror slightly towards the driver to ensure a clear view directly behind the forklift trucks.

 

2. Left Back Mirror

Positioned closer to the driver's side, the left back mirror has a smaller blind spot and provides a wider field of view compared to the right mirror. Adjust the horizon to the center of the left mirror's middle section and ensure that approximately 1/4 of the forklift body is visible in the mirror. Too little visibility may obscure vehicles close to the rear, while too much visibility can make it difficult to see forklifts that are partially alongside.

 

3. Right Back Mirror:

The right-back mirror, being on the passenger side, covers a larger blind spot. Adjust the horizon to about 2/3 of the mirror's height and make sure that around 1/4 of the vehicle's body is visible. This adjustment helps cover the larger blind spot effectively while providing a clear view of vehicles approaching from the right side.
