The engine is a critical part of a forklift. The engine parts of the whole forklift are mainly composed of two mechanisms and four systems: crank connecting rod mechanism, valve mechanism, supply system, lubricating system, cooling system and starting system.
Crank connecting rod mechanism: it is mainly the mechanism that produces output power. It is mainly composed of three parts: cylinder block crankcase, piston connecting rod and crankshaft flywheel. It usually has the characteristics of high temperature, high pressure and high speed movement. Whether it works normally or not will directly affect the power, economy and working reliability of the engine.
Valve mechanism: is the intake and exhaust control mechanism, it according to the engine cylinder work order and each cylinder work cycle requirements, regularly open and close the intake and exhaust valve of each cylinder, so that combustible mixture (gasoline engine) or air (diesel engine) into the cylinder in a timely manner, and exhaust gas out of the cylinder in a timely manner. It is mainly composed of valve group and valve drive group.
Supply system: it can be divided into gasoline engine and diesel engine fuel supply system. Gasoline engine fuel supply system is mainly composed of gasoline tank, gasoline filter, gasoline pump, air filter, carburetor, intake and exhaust pipe and exhaust muffler. Its function is to mix a certain amount of fuel and air into a certain amount and concentration of combustible mixture for the cylinder according to the requirements of different working conditions of the engine, and to extract the exhaust gas out of the cylinder after the combustion.
Lubrication system: the main function is to ensure the normal operation of the forklift engine, separate the two contact surfaces, improve the power of the forklift engine, and extend the life of the forklift parts of the whole engine. It is mainly composed of oil pump, oil radiator, pressure limiting valve, coarse/fine oil filter, oil pipe and oil channel, oil pressure sensor, oil pressure gauge, crankshaft, oil temperature gauge, piston, camshaft, valve rocker arm, timing gear and measuring tape and other accessories.
Cooling system: the main function is to ensure that the running engine can keep in a more suitable temperature (80-90 degrees) range of continuous operation. The cooling water shall be clear to avoid dead corners or stagnant water flow; Try to make the cooling of each machine parts uniform, in the bottom of the cylinder head and the upper part of the cylinder liner and other places with high heat load, the flow rate of cooling water should be appropriately increased; The multi-cylinder engine should evenly distribute the cooling water and maintain the same cooling intensity. It is mainly composed of water pump, water jacket, radiator, shutter, fan, water distributor, thermostat, coolant thermometer and other parts of forklift truck.
Starting system: when the forklift engine changes from the static state to the working state, it must be driven by external force (human or mechanical force) to rotate the crankshaft. The starting system is used to rotate the crankshaft and start the engine. Starting system consists of point switch, starter, starting switch, starting relay, etc.
