Statistical Analysis Of China's Forklift Industry in The First Half Of 2021

In recent years, as China attaches great importance to environmental protection, it has increased the promotion of energy saving. Electric forklifts, new energy forklifts, smart forklifts and internal combustion forklifts that meet emission standards will become the focus of the future development of the industry. According to statistics, China's electric forklift sales by 2020  was 410,300 units, a year-on-year increase of 37.55%.

In terms of import and export, according to statistics, as of January-May 2021, the number of exports of other electric forklifts and working vehicles equipped with lifting or handling devices was 140,136, an increase of 73.91% year-on-year, and the export value was US$472 million, an increase of 57.19% year-on-year.

Companies such as Anhui Heli, JAC Forklift, and Hangcha Group occupy a leading position in the export market. In 2019, Anhui Heli and Hangcha Group accounted for 38.78% and 30.59% of the export sales of Chinese brand forklifts respectively. The lithium battery forklift series launched by Heli Forklifts have occupied a considerable share in overseas markets, especially in South America and Southeast Asian countries.
