Valve seals are sealing components used in engines. As forklift engines continue to evolve towards smaller and more compact designs, the shaft rotation speeds increase, and the linear speed of the valve stems rises. Meanwhile, the temperature of the lubricating oil increases, leading to stricter requirements for valve seals. The market demands valve seals that can withstand variations in temperature, and high-speed rotation, and exhibit minimal friction and wear, with a focus on longevity and superior sealing performance.

Friction between the valve seal and the shaft generates heat, raising the temperature of the seal's lip. When the lip temperature is 30-40°C higher than the oil temperature, the temperature at the valve seal can reach approximately 140-150°C for intake valves and 170-180°C for exhaust valves. The maximum working temperature of the seal's lip can be around 200°C. If the material of the seal is not suitable for low temperatures, it can lead to premature aging, cracking of the lip, or severe wear of the shaft.
