Forklift Driveshaft
The forklift axle shaft refers to the shaft that drives the rotation of the drive wheels and supports the vehicle's movement. Typically, it is divided into front axle shafts and rear axle shafts. The front axle shafts are responsible for transmitting engine power and supporting the weight of the load. In contrast, the rear axle shafts bear less weight and primarily facilitate steering and vehicle direction control. In forklifts with dual drive wheels, both front and rear axles are equipped with axle shafts.

Forklift Driveshaft
The function of the forklift axle driveshaft is to transmit torque from the forklift differential to the drive wheels. A forklift, like other vehicles, requires two driving wheels to rotate at different speeds. Therefore, the left and right driving wheels cannot be connected and driven by the same integral shaft, but the two driveshafts are respectively driven by the linkage of the differential.
So both forklift front and rear axles are semi-axle. There is a keyway at the inner end of the forklift driveshaft, which meshes with the internal keyway of the gear of the forklift driver shaft and receives the power from the differential. The outer end of the driveshaft has a flange, which is bolted to the front wheel hub to drive the wheel to rotate.
