Forklift Differential

A forklift differential is used to connect the left and right driver shafts, allowing the wheels on both sides to rotate at different angular speeds while transmitting torque, and ensuring the normal rolling of the wheels. Forklift differentials with symmetrical bevel gears are basically used on forklifts. Symmetrical bevel gear differentials are composed of planetary gears, side gears, planetary gear shafts (cross shafts or a direct shaft), and differential housings.

 

Most forklifts use planetary gear differentials. Ordinary bevel gear differentials are composed of two or four conical planetary gears, planetary gear shafts, two conical half-shaft gears, and left and right differential housings.
