Forklift Wet Brake Function
Forklift wet brake is a hydraulic multi-plate brake, which is a very reliable braking method. It is mainly applied to forklifts with large tonnage of 8 tons or above. In the process of forklift driving, if you need to decelerate or brake, you step on the foot valve and control the stroke of the foot valve to proportionally control the amount of oil injected into the hydraulic chamber to obtain the required braking force.
Working Principle of Multi-Plate Wet Brake Of Forklift
Forklift multi-disc wet brake uses hydraulic oil and spring-release brakes. When the hydraulic oil enters the piston cavity, the oil pressure pushes the piston to generate a pressing force, which in turn presses the moving friction plate and the static friction plate, and the friction resistance torque generated o cause the wheels to brake. When the hydraulic oil in the piston chamber is relieved of pressure, the return spring resets the piston, so that the moving friction plate and the static friction plate are separated, the friction resistance torque disappears, and the wheel brake is released.
